1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using PawPact in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use PawPact. These terms apply to all users including visitors, registered pet owners, and verified veterinary providers.
2. What PawPact Is
PawPact is an anonymous pet health symptom logging and community pattern discovery platform. It allows pet owners to log symptoms their animals experience, identify potential triggers, interact with community posts via ME TOO reactions, participate in reply threads, discover shared health patterns across the pet owner community, and optionally connect with verified veterinary providers. PawPact is NOT a veterinary service and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use PawPact. By using the platform you represent that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts we believe belong to users under 18.
4. Anonymous Identity
PawPact is built on anonymity. You are identified only by an anonymous ID. Your real name and personal contact information are never displayed publicly. Your pet's name and photo may be visible to the community, but they are never linked to your personal identity. Do not post content that reveals your own or anyone else's real identity.
5. Not Veterinary Advice
Nothing on PawPact constitutes veterinary or medical advice. Community posts, ME TOO counts, and pattern data are peer-shared observations, not clinical recommendations. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's health decisions. PawPact is a community tool — not a substitute for professional veterinary care.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: post false, misleading, or harmful content; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; impersonate veterinarians or other credentialed professionals; use PawPact for commercial solicitation without authorization; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform; post content that is sexual, violent, or hateful. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
7. Pet Data Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of the pet health data you post. PawPact does not verify clinical claims. Knowingly posting false health information that could harm other pets or mislead the community is a violation of these terms.
8. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant PawPact a worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the platform for community pattern discovery purposes. We will never sell your individual content or pet data to third parties.
9. Termination
PawPact may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes all your data.
10. Limitation of Liability
PawPact is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, decisions made based on community content, or actions taken by your veterinarian or other parties.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of PawPact after changes constitutes your acceptance. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
